Basic Italian Salad #2

Basic Italian Salad #2

I learned how to make these simple delicious salads in Italy. There is nothing better than wonderful tomatoes. The Italian tomatoes have a very thin skin and are delicious. Garden tomatoes are the best yet!

Heirloom tomato varieties have great taste if you can find them. Look for them at your local Farmer’s Market. xo

Kamut Raisin Cinnamon Bread

Oh man are you in for a treat with this bread! It puts a smile on everyone’s face! Isn’t this why we take the time to cook and bake? leasing our family with wonderful treats is so rewarding! And I have yet to find anyone who doesn’t love this delicious bread.

Made with White Kamut flour, it is flavorful and easy to digest. You won’t find a better recipe out there.

Feel free to make this recipe your own. Sometimes I add raisins, and other times I don’t. I will even leave off the frosting from time to time and its still delicious. You really can’t go wrong with this recipe!

So what are you waiting for? Get cooking, your family is worth it.

Flapjacks with Oats and Whole Wheat

Flapjacks with Oats and Whole Wheat

With school being back in session for many of us, this recipe is a must save! I love making this for breakfast on busy days! My kids stay full for hours!

It is not only filling, but also incredibly healthy. Its the perfect way to help your kids have the extra energy they need.

These pancakes have a great texture to them. They are hearty and delicious!

We love grinding our whole wheat Kamut berries for this recipe. It makes them irresistible!

One of my favorite things about these pancakes is that you can make the mix ahead and store for weeks! Makes sure and store in an airtight container. Talk about a quick breakfast!

Serve with Real maple syrup, bacon or sausage, and eggs. The whole family will be happy!

Enjoy!

Lizs Asiago Parmesan Artisan Bread

Lizs Asiago Parmesan Artisan Bread

This bread is out of this world! A Fannie named Liz came up with this, and we can’t get enough. With our names being Liz and Lizi, it was just too perfect to not include Liz in the title!

The sharpness of the cheese mixed with the warm, crunchy bread, is a match made in heaven. We find ourselves wanting to make this all the time now!

We like to cut the bread into bites for dipping! Try mixing extra virgin olive oil with our favorite Balsamic Vinegar (Napa Valley Oak Wood Ages Balsamic Vinegar). You can also serve the bread sliced and on the side of any entree. Even try making a sandwich with it! Honestly, anything you would put on as Asiago bagel would be delicious on it.

And one of our favorite things to do with the delicious bread is to deliver to a friend. Take it right out of the oven, still hot and wrapped in a cotton kitchen towel. You will be the favorite neighbor without question after such a delivery!

Keep cooking, your family is worth it!

Lemon Cookies with homemade Raspberry Sauce

Lemon Cookies with homemade Raspberry Sauce

Have you ever had a delicious gooey pazookie? We absolutely love them! Its hard to beat the texture and flavor. We love them so much we decided to create a new version so we can enjoy one more often!

Emaly ( one of the sisters) came up with this incredible cookie! It is tart, sweet, and oh so delicious! The lemon flavor is so refreshing and light.

The key to these, and other skillet cookies, is to not over bake! You want it to be a little gooey in the center. This makes them!

Once the cookies come out of the oven, top with this incredible raspberry sauce. You will DIE when you try this! I’m not even kidding Its incredible.

Finally, top with some yummy vanilla ice cream. This will be a dessert you want to make all summer long!

Enjoy!

Kamut Banana Cream Pie

If you are looking for the perfect dessert, look no farther! We love making this incredible pie for every holiday in the Spring and Summer. It is so light and refreshing! Plus, you will never have a more delicious crust.

If you don’t love bananas or just want to switch it up, you can also make this into a chocolate pie. Follow all the same instructions, except these changes:

Increase sugar to 1 cup. Add 3 ounces of unsweetened baking chocolate in with the milk. Pour into baked and cooled pastry shell. Set and serve with whip cream.

Both variations are absolutely incredible!

Enjoy!!!
