Can you believe another week has already come and gone? We can't wait to share some of our favorite things from this last week with you. It has been crazy as ever around here, so hang on and enjoy the ride!

What we are loving:

  • Madewell Bobble Pullover Sweater: With the weather cooling off, we are all about sweaters. And this one is currently on repeat! It is cozy and warm, while still being cute and slimming.
  • Anthropologie Graphic Tee: It is no surprise we love these amazing tees from Anthropologie. They have become some of our favorites. We still can't get enough of this women empowerment graphic tee after months! And we are loving the message of "grateful for every little thing" on this new tee.
  • Our new carpet! We are obsessed. The carpet is just as soft as it is beautiful. It has completely transformed our space. Have you checked out Fernway yet? We LOVE the store! It is perfect for anything from gifts to furniture. In the back of the shop, there is a flooring and design company called Lemco Flooring Design (@lemcodesign). They have been so great to work with! We couldn't be any happier!

What we are cooking:

  • Fettuccine Alfredo: Are you looking for a delicious meal the whole family will love? This is the one! It is inexpensive and easy, but tastes like it is right out of a fancy Italian restaurant.
  • Carne Asada Tacos: This is one of our favorite meals to make on Mexican night. We love to buy some of the ingredients from the Mexican market. It tastes so authentic!
  • Arugula Pizza: You have seen us make this pizza many times, and we probably will never stop. It tastes so fresh and is always a crowd pleaser. Make sure to add it to your menu for your next pizza party!
  • Zucchini Bread: Finally, this bread is absolutely amazing. It's the perfect thing to make to use up all the zucchini from the garden. And a huge plus is your kids won't even know they are eating vegetables.

What we are doing:

  • Studio 5 Segment! We made another appearance on Studio 5 this week. It is always so much fun! For this segment, we decided to make our Mexican chicken and rice. It is such an easy and quick meal. It is perfect for a busy weeknight.
  • Anthropologie Event: It is no secret that we love Anthropologie. Their pottery and cups are some of our very favorites. Buy one or two at a time, don't feel like you need to buy a whole set. This is one of our very favorite items, but you cant go wrong. On October 17th, Lizi will be at the City Creek Anthropologie, so stay tuned for more details!

Well, that's a wrap Fannies! Thanks for tuning in, and have a wonderful week!

xoxo!

Welcome our next edition of TDF weekly! It has been another great week in our kitchen.

What we have been cooking:

  • Little Italy Pizza: We look forward to pizza night all week long. This Friday, we made the Little Italy Pizza and its unreal! The simple flavors work together so beautifully. Give this a try!
  • Apple Pie: Did you catch our live on Apple Pie? We walked you through making the perfect pie. And let us tell you, this pie is as good as it gets! If you happen to have some leftover dough, make some jam roll ups for the kids too. They will be in heaven!
  • Mexican Chicken and Rice: Next up, are you looking for a comfort meal to serve on Mexican themed night? This is the meal for you!

What we are Loving:

  • Did you catch the event we attended for Maria over at Two Peas & Their Pod this last week? It was incredible! We loved celebrating our beautiful friend and her new cookbook. And what an amazing night to be at the Fox's home! It is such a beautiful, unique home. We felt like we traveled to New England for the night.
  • Staub Cast Iron mini saucepan: We always have this adorable little pan on our stove. People ask us about it constantly, and we think your kitchen needs it!
  • Pizza Stone: This week, we showed you how to make our pizza. It really is so simple and makes for the best night! But you do need a few supplies first. This is a pizza stone we love!
  • Pizza Peel: Something else you are going to need is a good pizza peel, and then you are set! This is one we love.
  • J.CREW Factory Blue Light glasses: While shopping last week, I found these glasses that I knew I needed. With all the time I spend on screens, I have a hard time falling asleep and get headaches often. These glasses are made to help with all of this, so get used to seeing me in these guys!
  • 4 qt. Copper Jam pot: We have a post with all of our favorite copper items, but this guy is a new addition. The 4 qt. size was the first one we tried, and we still can't get enough of it. It is perfect for display on your stove, or just for cooking!
  • 1-Gallon Glass Jars: And finally, if there is one item you need for your kitchen, this may be in. We store flour, sugar, even chocolate chips, in these jars. They are inexpensive, and add so much to your kitchen!

xoxo!

It's time for another TDF weekly! We only have a few more weeks before Sr. Food Nanny heads to Belgium. We are trying to fit in as much as possible before we are separated! Here's what we were up to last week:

What we have been up to:

  • Celebrating Mr. Food Nanny's birthday! His birthday is coming up, so we got together as a family for a delicious meal. We decided to make Brisket on our Traeger and it was incredible. Everyone loved it! It is so much fun getting together and celebrating our loved ones around an amazing meal.
  • Meal Planning: This week, we did a special live all about one of our favorite topics...Meal planning! Gathering around as a family is so important and crucial. But if you don't plan your meals ahead of time, it won't happen. Life is just too crazy! So we have developed a system that really works. Our different theme nights helps keep things exciting and healthy. Planning ahead of time may seem daunting, but it will save you so much time and money in the end!
  • Organizing our Pantry: We finally jumped on the train and organized our pantry! It is bringing us so much joy seeing how beautiful it is and knowing exactly what we have.
  • Made Raffaella's Pasta: We made this in our stories and it is incredible! It is a true Italian meal we learned from Raffaella himself. It is a little bit of a labor of love, but worth every second.

What we are loving:

  • Caramore (8.8 ounce) Cheese by Tine Norway: We were snacking on this during our Meal Planning live and it is divine! It is a dessert cheese that we have been loving. It is sweet and fudge like with a hint of goat's milk. You can even grab it right here on amazon!
  • Cheese Knife: We don't have this exact set, but we love this one. If you are wanting to serve cheese, grab yourself this!
  • Marble and Acacia Wood Cheese Paddle: After our live, we had so many questions about this amazing cheese board. It is the perfect size and adorable. We love layering it with other cutting boards on our counter. You need this!
  • Salt Jars: Look what's back in stock! This jar is from France and we love everything about it. It is the perfect way to store our French Salt, and even looks on your counter. These fly off the shelf, so don't wait!
  • Euro Milk Glasses: We LOVE these cups. They are such a good price and we use them everyday.

That's it for this week! Check out this weeks adventures over on Instagram. Keep cooking, your family is worth it!

It has been another crazy and amazing week around here! We took a quick trip to Montana to visit the Kamut farm and cooked some delicious meals. Our kids started school as well, and we all know how nuts that can be! Here are some of our favorites from the week:

Favorite Things

  • Kamut: Okay, okay, you already know how much we love Kamut. It is the only flour we use, and we want to shout it from the rooftop! We took a very quick trip to the middle of nowhere in beautiful Montana to see just how the whole process works. Andre shared the facts with us, and Jerry showed us a little glimpse into his life. He runs the family farm, and taught us so much!

So what could they say to make us fall even more in love with Kamut? Jerry made us tear up when he was discussing why he loves Kamut and why he chooses to grow organically. He talked about how terrible he would feel at the end of the day when using chemicals. If it made him feel that bad, think of what its doing to our bodies! We love the taste of Kamut, but we love how good it is for us and our families even more. You can order it online here or find a pickup location near you!

  • Crepe Pro: First off, if you caught our live on Friday, you know what we are talking about here! We used the Crepe pro for the first time to make our delicious flour tortillas and crepes and we fell in love! It is so easy to use. The best part is it can be used to make tortillas, pizza, and crepes. We sold them out after our live, but more are coming! And they will continue to honor the food nanny discount code.
  • Strawberries and Cream Cake: Next, this cake is honestly incredible. It is dense, creamy, and amazing. People ask for this cake all the time! Your family will love it!
  • Ikea Pan: We talked about this pan in our stories over the weekend and need to share it again. It is one of the best pans we have ever used, and at such an inexpensive price.
  • Soup Bowls: Finally, aren't these beautiful? We are loving them! We bought ours in France and just love everything about them.

Thats it for this week! Don't forget to check out our meal plan and cook along side us! Have a great week Fannies!

xoxo!

Hello Fannies!

We feel like we had a little bit of a crazy week and have missed you all! Let's start with a little recap of some of the things we have been up to.

What we Have Been Up to:

  • First off, we had the incredible opportunity to speak at an awesome event in California this past weekend. We were able to spend time with family and enjoy some amazing food. By now, you know it is such a privilege to share our love for family, dinnertime, healthy eating, meal planning, and so much more. This was a community event with people from all walks of life. We always leave things like this with a renewed desire to share our messages with the world!
  • End of Summer: We can hardly believe school in back in session for so many of you! The kids tagged along with us to California for one last hurrah before it is back to the grind. Are you someone who loves getting back to the routine with school, or someone who dreads the end of summer?

What we are Loving:

Now for the fun part! We were worried when we first started this new TDF weekly post. It seemed daunting to think of new things each week that we are loving. Turns out, there are constantly new things we want to share with you! If you ever see us using or wearing something you want to know more about, ask away.

  • Small Baguette Pan: Our baguettes are on our menu just about every week and we have been loving this size lately! It makes skinnier baguettes that are perfect for individual sandwiches. You will be seeing lots of these in Lizi’s kids lunches this year! The recipe makes 4 baguettes when using the small pan, so you may want to purchase two.
  • Maple Wood Cutting Board: This is becoming our go to, everyday cutting board. I have been keeping it out layered on my marble board. I have been using it to quickly slice just about everything. It is practical, and yet still looks good in your kitchen. Des helped us pick this one out, so you know its a good!
  • Smeg Toaster: Okay, this toaster is absolutely insane. We just got the cream one at Williams and Sonoma and now understand what all the hype is about. Plus it is on MAJOR sale right now. It is rated #3 in the world and #1 for looks. It’s pretty amazing.

That’s it for this week Fannies! Thanks for tuning in. We have an amazing week ahead, so don’t forget to check us out on instagram. And remember, keep cooking, your family is worth it!

Welcome to TDF weekly! Its been another wild and fun week over at our house. We have been busy enjoying every second with family. With summer starting to wind down, we are soaking in all this time together.

What we are Cooking:

  • Lime Slush: You have to give this a try! They are so refreshing. Drinking one of these takes us right back to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
  • Old-Fashioned Biscuits: These truly are incredible and so easy! They take very little time and add so much to your meal. We love to serve them as a side or as a main dish, like in biscuits and gravy.

What we are Loving:

  • Studio 5: You know how much we love everyone at Studio 5. It is always such a privilege spending the day over there. Click here to watch our segment from this last week. Lizi showed us how to make our amazing watermelon salad.
  • Copper Spoons: Our love for copper is nothing new. We have been using our bowls on repeat for a long time now. But lately, we cannot get enough of the copper kimmer and copper ladle.
  • Anthropologie Old Havana Pottery. We have loved this line for years. Then on one of our French trips, we found some more pieces! We keep adding to our collection and they bring us so much joy. Since we can't all fly to France every time we want a new piece, its pretty amazing we can find them at both Anthropologie and Nordstrom. Here are some of our favorite pieces from the collection:
  • Cereal Bowl
  • Dinner Plates
  • Stoneware mug
  • Serving Bowl
  • Pitcher

We hope you enjoy all of this as much as we do! Have a wonderful week Fannies, and don't forget to follow along over on Instagram. Keep cooking, your family is worth it!

What we have been Cooking

This week, we wanted to share with you a couple of our favorite recipes we cooked up in the kitchen.

  • Chocolate Chip Cookies: I think you know our love for these by now, but we can't stop sharing! This is one of the first things I (Lizi) learned to make, and now I am making them with my own daughter!
  • Watermelon Salad: We tried a similar salad in France and created our own version. It is so delicious and refreshing. You have to give it a try!
  • Kamut Wheat Bread: Our Kamut bread with either whole wheat berries or our all purpose Kamut is as good as it gets. This week, we made our bread with the berries for even more nutritional value. You can't go wrong!

What we are Loving

  • Nutrimill: Do you have one of these? Do you even know what it is? haha This is the best grain mill we have ever used. So if you want to cook with the whole wheat kamut berries, you need this!
  • Anthropologie Dishclothes: Have you tried these yet? They are the best dishclothes! The have the perfect texture for washing dishes getting grime off counters. Food Nanny Sr. just discovered these and now she can't get enough either.
  • Myrtille Floral Print Dress: This is another dress that Lizi wore on our France trip, and we had so many questions about it. It is so beautiful and versatile! We love the vibrant green. Dress it up or down!
  • Jcrew Full-skirt Chambray Shirtdress: One last dress from our trip! This is the perfect dress for just about every woman. It doesn't matter your age, size, coloring, this dress is for you!
  • Bud Vases/ Dairy Milk Glasses: Lizi picked up some of these glasses while in France, and we found some for all of you! They are the best cup for your open shelves. We love making fun drinks and putting them in here to make an average day feel special.

Thanks for tuning in Fannies! Keep cooking right along side us for another week of fun!

xoxo,

Picks of the Week:

  • Swimsuit cover up: We showed you this before we left, but we have been getting so many questions. Lizi wore this on the beach in France, and its pretty magical. We think you guys need it! Here is the top and the bottom. It is a bit of a splurge, but it is worth it.
  • Swimsuit: This is one of our favorite swimsuits! Enough coverage, yet still makes you feel cute and flirty.
  • Lululemon on The Fly Pants: I can't say enough good things about these pants! They are ridiculously comfortable, but you still look put together. We have them in rust and in navy. Plus, the rust is now on sale!
  • Oval Staub pot: After posting this earlier in the week, we have had so many questions! It is such an amazing size, and you know we love everything stab.
  • Madewell Slingback sandal: Lizi purchased these shoes right before our trip. I had never worn them and assumed I would end the day with a blister or two. But they are surprisingly comfortable! I was amazing at how much I loved them even after long days! Madewell is running low on sizes, so here is a very similar shoe we are wanting!
  • French Salt: It is no surprise we love this salt! We wouldn't sell it if we didn't love it. But after this trip, we are more obsessed than ever! Click here to purchase the fleur de Sel and here for the grey salt. We use them both on the daily!

We hope you have enjoyed this weeks TDF Weekly! If you ever see us wearing or using something you want to know more about, let us know. Keep cooking Fannies, we love you!

-Swimsuit Coverups: We have been on the hunt for a couple good ones for our trip, and here are the two we decided on.

-Lace-up back one piece swimsuit in suckered rainbow stripe from Jcrew: On a similar note, finding a swimsuit can be so hard! We finally found one that we really like. Its flattering and has such a cute design.

-Gingham Check Bedtime Pajamas from Nordstrom: With the huge Anniversary sale happening, its no surprise we found a couple amazing things. This Madewell pajama set just may be my new favorite thing to sleep in!

-Naan Bread: Okay, have you ever tried this? It's pretty amazing, so add it to your next meal plan!

-Luggage: For obvious reasons, this has been on our mind! We just found a couple new pieces that we can't wait to try out.

-Anker Portable Charger: Also for out trip, we just snagged this guy on Amazon prime day, and cannot wait to put it to good use. This one has an ultra high capacity and is great on trips. But we do have a smaller one that is great too.

-Friends lunches: As you guys know, there are few things that make me as excited as a good friends lunch! Your meal doesn't have to be extravagant. But there is something so special about having people in your home enjoying delicious food and good conversation.

-Our favorite Table grill: And finally, we LOVE this, and now you can order one too! It makes the simplest meals feel special.

To end, keep cooking Fannies, your family is worth it! And don't worry, we will be taking you along our entire trip over on Instagram.
